A fantastic alternative party and one they will never forget.  From the very moment the kids meet us in the car park the adventure begins.  Learn how to make your own rope and search out the best fire lighting materials.  Take an adventure hike through the forest. Return from your adventure to the camp, where we light the fire , cook the beans  and roast your marshmallows.  Have a go at lighting a fire , chopping your wood and making a shelter. There is always time for some woodland games as well to round of your afternoon.

• These parties are can be in the morning or afternoon. Typically 10am or 2pm and last 2.5 -3hrs.  In the winter parties generally run from 11am till 2pm.

• This party has worked well with 8-14yr olds. (Younger children can be accommodated and the theme is more Nature Awareness)

This is a great course designed to give you a taste of what bushcraft is all about.  Shelter is important and we start by building one using natural materials and tarps .  Fire provides heat and some thing to cook on. You will learn the skills to prepare and cook over a fire.  We also look at the safe use of knives and cover some basic knife projects. There is an opportunity to try fire by friction, fire steels and flint.

  24hr Survival (Weekend)                TOP

Okay its actually 26hrs. Perfect if you are looking to escape the office and the modern day stresses.  No experience is required just enthusiasm and an interest in nature and how to work with it. The first day of this course prepares you for an overnight stay in the woods. Don't worry if your shelter is a flop we have tents you can stay in.  In addition to your shelter building we cover knife and axe work. We prepare and collect wood for the fire and try some fire by friction.  With the use of simple knots we create additional camp structures.  On the second day we start to look closer at the forest and the different trees and plants and their uses.  To keep you safe in the outdoors we teach you how to loss proof yourselves .

The course is outdoors and so outdoor gear is essential. In Scotland this means warm and waterproof gear even in summer.  Good sturdy shoes or boots plus midge repellent

You will also have the chance to set a number of traps.

• This courses  from 10am to11.30am next day.
• Per person price is £50 or £75 (Ratio1:6)
• These are run mainly for  18+ and on occasion 13 -16yr olds.
