in the surrounding area

Learn how to pre plan a simple mountain walk and follow
it, hopefully without getting lost!

Intermediate and Advanced Techniques Day
2)
Work out personal pacing for 100 metres
Micro Navigation - techniques which concentrate on using
short distances and/or navigating to smaller features on
the ground.
Pacing distances
Estimating times taken using Naithsmiths Rule and
Aiming off
Attack points
Identifying and locating smaller features on the map and
on the ground
Using state of the art GPS.
Courses are £100 for 2
days
Maps, Compasses supplied
Accomodation - Wild Camp
at the Bushcraft site or chose one of the local venues
such as Comrie Croft
Groups Maximum of 8 persons. |
