Our aim is to take the novice and provide them with enough skills to enable them to feel confident and competant to get out and about.

We teach students to locate themselves on a map , track themselves on the map as they walk. We will also take you through how to use a compass and teach you how to follow a bearing. In addition we will cover the advantages of technology such as maps on phones and also GPS use.

The basics can be learnt fairly quickly but the real learning starts when you leave us and go out and have a go yourselves.

We supply a may and compass of the area and will be working predominately with 1:25000 maps but will also compare with 1:50000.

Also as a Survival Instructor I can add in some extras about natural navigation for those interested.
